What is Oxygen Coating?
Oxygen coating is a white color nanoparticle infused fluid that can be mixed with any water-based acrylic paint in a 1 to 3 ratio. Once mixed it can be applied on well prepared walls and with minutes after fully dried it will begin to purify and sanitize the air in any size room.
How does the air purification and sanitization process work?
The air purification and sanitization process, simply put, changes the molecular structure of harmful substances in the air thus making them inactive upon contact with any Oxygenated wall in any size space. As air flows, harmful substances that bounce off these walls begin the photocatalytic oxidation process that breaks down the DNA structure of micro organisms such as harmful bacteria. For VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) Oxygen coating breaks apart the molecular bond by converting more than 95% of harmful chemicals to harmless floating compounds and water molecules.
What tests are used to verify the high quality of Oxygen?
Oxygen coating has a stringent testing process for the materials that are used and while we recognize that there maybe products on the market manufactured with unreliable material sources we are able to test our material with documentation and validation from reputable international microbiology labs in Canada and around the world. As we also manufacture our own nanoparticle compounds we are able to run XRF (X-ray fluorescence) tests which is a non-destructive analytical technique used to determine the elemental composition of materials in all of our manufacturing lines as part of our quality control procedures. In addition, we also run scanning electron microscope (SEM) tests which is a type of electron microscope that produces images of a sample by scanning the surface with a focused beam of electrons. The electrons interact with atoms in our samples, producing various signals that contain information about the surface topography and composition of the sample down to 5 nanometers.
What colors does does Oxygen come in?
At present Oxygen coating comes as a white water-based coating. However, different shades and colors can be created when mixed with other high quality water-based acrylic paints in a 1 liter Oxygen to 3 liter paint ratio.
How long does it take to dry?
Oxygen coating is no different to any regular paint when it comes to application. Once you have gone through the steps of cleaning and sanding a wall, filling gaps and spots with putty and a water based primer you can mix Oxygen to any high quality water-based paint. Apply once and wait for 3 hours. Then apply again and wait for another 3 to 4 hours and you are all done. Oxygen will start working immediately thereafter. It’s that simple.
Why should I buy Oxygen isn’t an air purifier enough?
Traditional methods of air purification, such as air conditioners, air purifiers, air ionizers use expensive electrical devices with filters. These filters can also capture bacteria, which however are then put back into circulation in the “purified” air. Oxygen can really make a difference. Activated by light, Oxygen neutralizes atmospheric pollutants transforming them into harmless substances, in a natural way, and eliminates all bacteria on the surface, without dispersing them in the environment.
On which surfaces can Oxygen be applied?
Oxygen is easy to apply on both new and existing surfaces. It can be applied to almost all architectural surfaces, whether newly built or already painted. The only real exception is glass.
How long does Oxygen effects last?
The benefits of Oxygen are long lasting. As long as there is light and humidity in the air, the benefits of Oxygen will always be active. The mechanical duration of the paint is totally different, because it strictly depends on the substrate and the natural life of the paint. We guarantee the efficiency of Oxygens properties for 10 years.
How does Oxygen remove odor? Isn’t a deodorant enough?
Oxygen reduces odors naturally by dissolving the bonds between odor molecules without deodorants and without the use of electrical or chemical filters.
To eliminate unpleasant smells deodorants and perfumers are generally used to overpower these bad odors but they won’t eliminate them. In other words so long as a large number of molecules with a pleasant smell remain in the air it will mask the bad odor and hide the smell at best.
Oxygen, on the other hand, thanks to the oxidizing action of its active ingredient, directly reduces the molecules associated with bad smell in a natural way, freeing the air from all harmful compounds and making it fresh and pleasant to the smell. In this way, a complete and effective reduction is obtained not only of odors, but of the same causes that generate them.
Does Oxygen contain environmentally safe material?
Yes, Oxygen is environmentally friendly and safe. The production of Oxygen does not introduce waste into the environment and 40% of its raw materials are recycled. Furthermore, Oxygen is in the process of obtaining the CradleToCradle Gold certification, which certifies that Oxygen does not pollute water sources and does not generate waste in the environment.
Can your products be applied to wooden surfaces?
Being a wall based product, we guarantee the best results for application on concrete surfaces or dry walls. However, it is possible to apply Oxygen to wooden surfaces so long as the surfaces are treated with a good wood primer.
Can Oxygen be mixed in large quantities away from the application site and transported in liquid form?
No, Oxygen must be freshly prepared on the application site. Oxygen is cement-based: when water is added, the drying process begins within 3 hours.
Can the Oxygen product withstand regular cleaning?
We do not recommend regular cleaning of surfaces coated with Oxygen. If there are stains on the wall we suggest using a moist cloth and gently dab on top of the stained area. Do not rub the walls by any means.
